The TXR-800 Series Blanking System is an offline machine that automatically separates, or blanks, die cut sheets of stock (22″ x 33″). Brandtjen & Kluge can provide support, spare parts and training on all Kawahara systems.

Lay a template over a die cut sheet. Those holes that are located partially on the blank and partially on the trim indicate which pins will not be needed in the blanking process. Using a permanent marker, mark where the corners of the die cut sheet are.
HINT: Optimal template positioning is when you eliminate as many pins as possible and still maintain adequate pins for supporting the blanks and pressing the trim.
Now, take the die cut sheet and lay it on top of the template. Use the marks you made to square the sheet to the template. Using the white, non-perforated tape provided, tape the outer edge of the sheet to the template. Remove each blank and using the white, perforated tape provided, tape down any sharp edge that may become snagged and bent.
Take the second template and place it over the first. Using the blue, segmented tape provided, tape off each hole that is partially on the blank and partially on the trim. Make-ready is now complete.
HINT: Before laying the second template over the first, powder the first template to prevent the blue tape from sticking to the first template.
When setting up the machine to run a new job, set the template with the blue tape in the machine first. This will “tell” the machine which pins are not needed. After cycling the machine, the pins not needed are removed automatically and stored in the back of the machine.
Now, place the template with the trim (waste) matrix attached in the machine. This will separate the supporting pins from the pressing pins.
The make-ready time for creating the templates will vary according to the complexity of the job. For most jobs, make-ready will be completed within 45 minutes. If the job is one that will be repeated, save the two templates. Make-ready on a repeat job with templates is less than 10 minutes.
