Q: What's the difference between an EHD and an EHF Press?
Q: What's the minimum increment that the Foil Control System can be adjusted on a Kluge press?
A: The Kluge EHD Electronic Foil Control System is highly accurate in foil stamping and is adjustable in increments of as low as 1/1000″. The (standard) Mechanical Foil Control System is adjustable in increments of 1/16″.
Q: I need to use my Kluge press for diecutting magnetic sheets. How do I prevent my magnet material from sticking to the platen?
A: To die cut flex-magnet material. A non-magnetic stainless steel diecut plate is required to replace the carbon steel diecut plate supplied as standard on the platen of the press. This will prevent the magnet from sticking to the platen. Usually feeding problems are overcome with the black 1 inch rubber suckers and agressive edge combing to separate the sheets.

Q: Can I diecut and foil stamp simultaneously?
A: Yes. Diecutting and foil stamping can be performed simultaneously, when the job is configured in such a way that the steel rule die does not interrupt the foil web. The same applies to Kluge’s EHD and EHF Series Presses.
Q: The magazine (feeder tray) seems quite high up. How can I easily load the stock?
A: Although stock can be loaded to the magazine from the ground level, Kluge has manufactured an EZ Load Magazine system (available as an option). With this system configured on the machine, the operator can lower and raise the height of the entire magazine with the turn of a switch, enabling effortless loading of stock. Watch a video demonstration of the EZ Load Magazine here.
Q: Can you compare the EHG Series Press to the EHD and V-8 Press models?
A: Compared to the EHD, the EHG runs a larger sheet. Of course, the feeding motion and the reliability of the press is based on the very successful EHD Series 14 x 22 Press. Comparing it to the V-8, while they both run a similar sized sheet, the EHG is a clam shell style press as compared to a vertical style press. The EHG runs at 1/4 the speed but costs 1/4 the price.
