United Craftsmen, Inc. dba Craftsmen Printing of San Jose, California has installed a new Kluge 22×30 EHG Foil Stamping, Embossing and Diecutting Press. Craftsmen, a diverse commercial printer offering a wide range of services, has been dedicated to upgrading and meeting their customers’ needs for over 23 years.
“The EHG is the perfect complement to our other two Kluge platen presses,” says Dan Falkenstein, President, United Craftsmen, Inc. dba Craftsmen Printing.
“During a time in the printing industry of having to do more with less, the newest generation of Kluge, the EHG, is the perfect complement to our other two Kluge platen presses. Its sensible footprint coupled with its ability to serve a multitude of functions supporting both our offset and digital formats makes it truly a welcome addition.
The 30” format supports all of our 1/2 size offset and will support the new 1/2 size digital inkjet presses, which are currently being introduced to the marketplace. The ability to foilstamp as well as diecut many of our hardcovers for digital projects, coupled with embossing, diecutting, scoring and foiling of other projects all at the same time made perfect sense for us…
…The addition of the easyload magazine and the togglebase hoist system should relieve the burden of constantly dealing with strenuous lifting and handling of larger sheet sizes, while the simplicity of the adjustable impression as well as the reversible register cam system should improve our makeready times. These new innovations should allow us to produce the same high quality product that both we and our customers have come to expect from Kluge.
All of these features, coupled with excellent, unprecedented sales, service and technical support received over the past several years, made the Kluge EHG the obvious choice for us.”
