As with all printing and packaging equipment manufacturers, there is a lot of competition. When looking at half-sheet presses (in particular those that compete with the Kluge EHG Series 22 x 30 Press), we have found that a large portion of our competition comes from overseas. As a result, we are often asked about post sales support in the US and internationally.
Our support consists of direct, indirect and networking. At Kluge, we believe our equipment to be one of the best supported product lines in the industry. Here’s why:
1. Field Engineers based in the US
More of a concern for the US market, much of our competition comes from non-US manufacturers who are not able to efficiently service their machinery in the US. Our team of US engineers have spent many years in the field servicing our workhorse presses, including the EHD and EHF Series Presses, and are ready to service your EHG.
2. Field Engineers worldwide
Internationally we support our customers through our network of distributors. Each of our distributors have Kluge factory trained technicians who are able to support Kluge equipment locally. Our network of distributors are supported by the Kluge International customer support team and together we offer the best possible service support.
3. HUGE user base
The EHG is constructed and functions very much like the Kluge EHD and EHF presses, the main difference being SIZE. Presently Kluge has a user-base of 22,000 + units sold worldwide that provides you with the security that these presses work… and continue to work.
4. Our team of field engineers have an average of 20 years experience
Built from an astounding amount of experience in the field, our engineers know the equipment. They know what makes it tick and how to keep it ticking. Additionally, Kluge engineers have immediate access to the US based headquarters as an additional source of up-to-date information and resources that are not readily available to the general public.
5. Almost 90 years of production
Kluge began manufacturing printing equipment in 1919. Over the years, a rich user community has been established that shares hard-to-get information through networking. Our database provides a pool of knowledge through these sources that will help to keep your machine running for a lifetime.
This concludes our second newsletter in “EHG month”. Next week: Where will I find a good operator?
