At Graph Expo 2003, Kluge exhibited for the first time the Kawahara TXR-1100 Series Automatic Blank Separator. For the show, Kluge had the Kawahara blank three separate jobs; switching them after each lift of die cut sheets was separated.
By having three separate jobs, Kluge was able to show people that the make-ready time was less than 10 minutes. The speed of the Kawahara was also demonstrated in that it took 15 minutes to blank, or separate, a lift of stock 48″ high.
Understanding that Graph Expo 2003 was the first showing of the Kawahara, Kluge was very excited about the reception and response it received from companies that either currently blank by hand or now blank in-line. Kluge sales and technical personnel are now following up on prospects as together we work to show buyers the positive ROI (Return On Investment) to be achieved.
