St. Croix Falls, WI, October 20, 2016 — Kluge, the recognized industry leader in short to medium run print finishing and converting solutions, will demonstrate advancements in folding and gluing, laser cutting at Pack Expo in Chicago, Illinois. November 6-9, 2016. Kluge and LasX will be conducting the following demonstrations at McCormick Place West, Booth #W-785.
Folding and Gluing: On display will be Kluge’s newest generation folding and gluing system – the OmniFold 3000. The OmniFold 3000 is a completely modular system and the only folder gluer in its class with these unique features: synchronized touch-screen controls, interchangeable feeding units, modular alignment system, modular pre-break device, interchangeable bearing bed transports and interchangeable vacuum transports. The OmniFold system will be converting various folding cartons.
Laser Cutting: Kluge and strategic partner LasX will be showcasing innovative laser converting technology with CartonsInMinutes®, the laser processing and converting solution for folding cartons and other folded and glued products. This process utilizes digital workflow technologies in combination with laser converting, robotic automation, and flexible folders and gluers to achieve on-demand packaging. Combining laser processing with the Kluge OmniFold 3000 folding and gluing system to produce low volume printed carton runs, is a cost-effective tool for the production of folding cartons. Demonstrations at the booth will show multiple folding carton designs being laser cut, scored, blanked and converted using the CartonsInMinutes® proprietary system controls and robotics that allow for instant order change and on the fly processing of live orders.
Discussing the products that will be on display at Booth #W-785 at Pack Expo, Kluge CEO Michael Aumann commented: “Kluge has a rich history of innovation and technical leadership in the print and print finishing markets. We believe our customers will find that the newest Kluge products represent powerful solutions that can address challenges that printers and converters face each day.”
