The Scan Group of Waukesha, WI have decided to bring their folding and gluing business in house by the installation of a Hyperfold Automatic folder gluer certified by Brandtjen & Kluge, LLC. The configuration included a Final Fold, Stacker and Cold Glue System and enables the full service creative and production group to convert pocket folders in-house.
AMR Graphics, Inc. of Dania Beach, FL has incorporated an additional EHD Series Press into their line of print finishing equipment. The new EHD will work in conjunction with their existing EHD Series Press to foil stamp and emboss stationary products including presentation folders. Options included with the press were a missed sheet detector, the new reversible register cam for speedy left/right registration adjustments and a wide magazine to accommodate larger sheet sizes.
Midwest Gold Stampers, Inc. have recently updated their Kluge EHD Series Presses from the early 80’s and brought them into compliance with the current OSHA and ANSI health and safety regulations. The print shop also took the opportunity to replace an earlier Kluge press that could not be retrofitted with new guarding with a newly rebuilt EHD Series Press. Midwest Gold Stampers, currently foil stamp many types of stationary and report covers on their Kluge equipment. Note: Presses manufactured between 1960 and 1986 must be brought into compliance with current ANSI and OSHA health and safety regulations. It is not feasible to bring presses manufactured prior to 1960 into safety compliance and should be removed from operation.
Haig’s Quality Printing of Las Vegas, NV have recently installed Kluge’s latest automatic folder gluer – the OmniFold. The digital pre press and printing company selected the optional flipgate, bump 90, IL-9 and additional hot melt glue system for converting pocket folders, taping applications and “folding only” products.
Hearn Graphic Finishing Co., Inc. of Winston-Salem, NC recently installed another Kluge automatic folder gluer. Their new OmniFold folder gluer expands on their previous converting capabilities with their Kluge UniFold Automatic folder gluer and has already been used to fold & glue multiple box jobs and 2/3 panel pocket folders. Hearn included a flipgate, bump 90 and a 4 head hot melt glue system with their order to best meet their converting needs.
Seattle Bindery of Seattle, WA recently added a Kluge OmniFold Automatic folder gluer to their existing line of Kluge equipment that currently includes an EHD Series Press, HyperFold folder gluer and a Kluge numbering system. Seattle’s OmniFold folder gluer was configured with a flipgate, additional left hand register guide, 9ft inline section, automatic tape head, 4-head hot melt and 2-head fugitive glue systems. Their new equipment will be used for a wide range of pocket folder formats.
Central Missouri State University (CMSU) of Warrensburg, MO recently installed a Kluge EHD Series Press for use in their print shop classroom. The EHD will serve as a teaching aid to educate graphic design students on how to setup and make-ready foil stamping, embossing and die cutting projects on the press. CMSU ordered four additional toggle bases for learning die mounting and setup from the student desks.
