When buying a folder gluer from Kluge, you can rest assured that we will have every detail covered. Our highly skilled engineers will make sure that your machine is up and running to manufacturers specifications.
That said, below are four tips that should be enforced on your part to help ensure a successful startup.
1. Have the site ready: Before your machine arrives you will have power and air specifications from us including a floor plan. The power, proper air, and space/floor requirements should be prepared in advance. Plan ahead how you will rig the multiple boxes off the truck. You should place the boxes in the correct order and take the equipment out of the crates if you have the equipment to do that. Your electrician needs to be there or readily available when the service engineer arrives.
2. Train two operators: Two trainees work off each other, learn faster, compete a little, and the project won’t shut down if one person leaves during the training cycle. Then you will have a backup operator also.
3. Let the trainer train: Having a few, low quantity “real” jobs handy is a good thing if they are exemplary of what you will be converting. Long runs will rob you of precious training time.
4. Pick operators that are mechanically inclined, like to tinker, and like to learn new things.
